Carers Support Workers

Carers Support Workers provide advice and support to carers on a one-to-one basis by phone and/or visits and also run local support groups for carers.  They liaise with Social Services & Housing, the NHS, the independent sector and other local voluntary organisations in order to provide the best possible help to carers in their area.

Link Worker (Mental Health)

Provides support, information and training to carers caring for someone who has a mental health issue and advice and training to professionals.

Communities Development Worker

Ensures that carers from minority groups are able to access our services, this includes Black and Asian minority ethnic carers, Gay and Lesbian carers, carers who consider their religion affects their ability to access services, carers who have or who care for someone with HIV/AIDS or Young Adult carers 16 - 25 years. Assesses and provides speedy specialist advice, information and support to carers to enable effective discharge of patients from hospital.

YOUNG CARERS SERVICE

Young Carers Services Manager

Manages the Young Carers Service and participates in frontline support

to individual Young Carers and Young Carers groups.

Young Carers Development Worker (Health)

Works with the young carers team to deliver services and has particular role in researching and increasing health awareness issues for young carers and health professionals. 

Young Carers Development Worker (Alcohol & Substance Misuse)

Responsible for seeking out, identifying and supporting young carers living in a family where there is substance/alcohol misuse or a dual diagnosis.
